Story Overview
Ten years ago, a mysterious phenomenon known as “Heaven’s Gate” appeared in South America, followed by the sudden arrival of “Hell’s Gate” in Tokyo. These celestial events warped reality and led to the emergence of people with supernatural powers—Contractors.
These Contractors have abilities ranging from elemental manipulation to teleportation, but every use of power requires a "payment"—a compulsive, often harmful ritual like breaking fingers or smoking cigarettes.
Amid this chaos, we follow Hei, a masked Contractor known as the “Black Reaper.” Working for a secret organization, Hei infiltrates, fights, and uncovers dark truths behind Hell’s Gate and the origin of Contractors. The series blends sci-fi mystery, international conspiracy, and philosophical themes about identity and emotion.
